OUTREACH: PPDD Executive Director attended the International Human Rights Academy (IHRA) in Utrecht, Netherlands

PPDD as an organization represented by its Executive Director was given the opportunity to be part of one of the most prestigious Human Rights programs – the Human Rights Academy (IHRA) which was co-organized by 4 well known universities i.e. the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) of Utrecht University, the Human Rights Center of Ghent University, the Washington College of Law of American University and the University of the Western Cape. This year the academy took place in Utrecht in Netherlands. It was held in between August 19 and September 1, 2007. It was a two week crash course program on International Law, International Human Rights Laws and Conventions and International Humanitarian Laws. The Academy is designed to provide high quality legal education in comparative international human rights and in humanitarian law, with an emphasis on the practical aspects in various fields. In as far the academy was concerned, so far it was academically rewarding. The following were the course taught in the Academy
