PPDD started the “Alternative Education and Community Development for Displaced Children” along the Burmese border in Mae Sot, Thailand” project in March 2007 after a Christmas beneficiary action, providing clothes and giving gifts to children, in December 2006. PPDD came into contact with Burmese Migrant Workers Education Committee (BMWEC), and expressed its views and plans for future education projects. After series of consultations with local partner organizations and the local community surrounding the school, PPDD started the construction of school building and were in full operation in the implementation of school project.
